Little Mint Skirt

August 26, 2015

I went to H&M many many months ago on a quest: to find cheap but cute new clothes. Who doesn’t want this? Soon after walking in, I found an article of clothing that I had never owned, let alone seen:

A quilted skirt.

Its threading gives it a shape that most skirts couldn’t hold due to their thinness, but this skirt is lovely and flouncy even a year after purchase.

I bought the skirt in two colors: black and mint. I’ll show you the black on a later occasion, mostly because it is too versatile not to go on and on about. The skirts both stay on very well and zip up the back of the skirt. They are perfect flare skirts.

The mint skirt is one of my favorite wardrobe pieces for the spring and summer due to its light color. I usually wear it with a white tank top, but I know it to look good with a short sleeve shirt, as well. In this I’m wearing a white cami (also from H&M) and a pair of heeled boots.

To dress it up, wear some accessories! I’m wearing a necklace with a light blue stone, and though it isn’t the exact same color as the skirt, I find they accent each other nicely. To dress it down, trade in the boots for a pair of sandals (any color like brown, black, beige, or white will do).

Be sure to check the skirt and lookalikes out before it gets too cold! Or, wait till clearance and wear it next summer. Either way, I’m sure these cute light skirts will win your heart just as this one won mine.

I believe you can find the skirt here, but they no longer sell the mint color. You can find lookalikes here and here.

The top is no longer sold, but a top like this or this should work well with the skirts above.
