I love to channel all different eras of fashion, but my favorite thing to do is combine different elements of each and create a whole new style.

I used a Marilyn Monroe style halter crop top and paired it with a skirt that for me evokes ideas of poodle skirts combined with adorable pleats that scream 40’s style. The length of the skirt pulls elements of the well sought after bohemian style and the accessories bring back the cutesy and feminine.

My favorite part of this outfit is definitely the accessories. This crystal heart necklace is a light pink which fits perfectly into the outfit’s color scheme. The halter neck leaves your chest as the perfect canvas to show off some adorable jewelry, and the heart shape definitely adds a huge touch of femininity to the look.

The hair for this outfit was inspired by Sandy in Grease. She of course has enviable bangs, but I had to just improvise. The use of a scrunchie to tie up your high ponytail continues the vintage vibe that we’ve got going on throughout this outfit.

Another accessory I dug out of my jewelry box was this black and silver bow ring. The bow shape continues the cutesy theme and the color is a nice contrast to all the white and pink throughout the outfit.

For shoes I chose to wear sandals that have a vintage feel to them. To be honest, my mother bought them for me and I thought I’d never wear them, but they work perfectly for this outfit. The tan leather continues the semi-neutral color scheme and the style reminds me of the 1950’s slingback style.
The overall style of the outfit is a perfect mix of different fashion elements. The color scheme and the flirty elements create a unique and adorable outfit that will definitely earn you lots of complements. Don’t forget to have fun because trust me, you look great!
